Marketing and Advertising Coordinator – Marketing and Promotion Department – Atlanta Motor Speedway (Hampton, GA)

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, plus two or more years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. The qualified candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, will be highly organized, and will possess a well-developed sense of initiative. Candidates should also have experience with new and emerging media platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel is required.  This position includes irregular hours including night and weekend work to staff track events including, but not limited to Thursday Thunder, Friday Night Drags, NASCAR Weekend, Motorama weekend and community promotional appearances.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Promotion Department
    • Reports to Dir. of Marketing & Promotion– duties assigned as necessary.
  • Advertising:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with track media / marketing / advertising partners.
    • Strategize and coordinate marketing and advertising plan for all track events to generate ticket sales.
    • Evaluate and recommend advertising proposals.
    • Negotiate and place advertising with track marketing and advertising partners.
    • Track and analyze the success of all advertising campaigns.
    • Ensure successful execution of all track promotion & advertising agreements with track partners.
    • Maintain archive of all promotional and advertising collateral produced.
  • Marketing
    • Assist with all aspects of department marketing and promotion initiatives.
    • Maximize promotion opportunities with Ticketmaster.
    • Maintain relationships with local and regional tourism organizations to help promote events while utilizing all marketing assets available to AMS.
    • Oversee Promotional Pace Car schedule for all appearances/track uses including staffing and logistics.
    • Liaison for all marketing and promotional events: Blood drives, etc.
    • Maintain track archive including programs, media guides, photography and video.
  • Event Promotion
    •  Produce promotions to drive ticket sales.
  • Event Weekend Responsibilities
    • Coordinate Media Center / Press Box logistics for NASCAR race weekend, including but not limited to scheduling, staffing and catering.
    • Assist with the execution of AMS Insider’s Club activities.
    • Coordinate all promotion winners’ activities – assign worker to execute.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Thursday Thunder/Friday Night Drags/Motorama/track event rental staffing as needed.

SUMMARY

Homestead-Miami Speedway is hiring a Manager of Hispanic and Youth Marketing to promote motorsports, and specifically NASCAR racing to audiences locally, regionally and nationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities for the Manager of Hispanic and Youth Marketing position include:

  • Developing a short and long term marketing plans for the Hispanic and Youth segments.
  • Identifying, coordinating and implementing target specific promotions with track and event sponsors.
  • Oversee creation of Spanish-language collateral including posters, ticket brochures, postcards, etc.
  • Determining target Hispanic and Youth markets and choosing the proper media to reach them.
  • Developing promotional relationships with Hispanic radio/TV stations to improve on-air/in-market consumer promotions.
  • Creating Hispanic and Youth Fan Development strategies throughout the calendar year
  • Creating and executing a strategy to connect with Hispanic and Youth populations via large-scale events, neighborhood programs, special interest programs, community-based organizations, appearances, clinics, etc.
  • Participating and networking within the Hispanic community and industry. Get involved in industry related associations and community organizations.
  • Creating and administering the delivery of brand-specific e-newsletters to Hispanic community.
  • Creating and overseeing specific strategies for all digital and social media outlets for Hispanic community.
  • Development of meaningful youth outreach platforms that could include field trips, reading programs, STEM programs, speaker series etc.
  • Understanding and supporting the company’s sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers.
  • Providing superior care and service to internal and external customers.
  • Performing quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Interacting professionally with other employees, customers and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Coordinating Producer – Motor Racing Network (Concord, NC)

MRN Radio is the largest independent sports radio network in America.  In addition, MRN produces thousands of hours of NASCAR-related programming which can be heard nationwide each week – bringing fans closer to the sport they love.

Description

  • Produce video, animation and digital web projects for Sprint Vision, MRN and ISC clients.
  • Work directly with production management to make assignments, set deadlines, and manage quality control based on client specifications.
  • Serve as an extension of assigned client list to ensure proper execution of their individual production needs.
  • Ensure successful delivery of production elements to scoreboard and screen operators
  • Work on behalf of racetrack representatives to schedule videos, scoreboard elements and PA system content to create a compelling and unified message
  • Communicate, coordinate and distribute all needed production documentation for a successful event weekend.
  • Consistently interacts with MRN Traffic to verify proper commercial placement during assigned event weekends.
  • Support the efforts of field production staff to ensure seamless transition between office and field.
  • Attend pre-event site visits and planning sessions with race track representatives
  • As on-site Live Event Producer, oversee the execution of the Run of Show via video boards, PA system, and other fan touch points to ensure it meets the needs of the tracks, entertains and informs fans, and maximizes production quality
  • Facilitate sharing of production resources across multiple production platforms
  • Participate in follow-up calls and surveys with Sprint Vision Production Coordinator and track representatives to evaluate successes and areas of improvement in production, processes, and execution.

Requirements:

Consumer Marketing Coordinator – Chicagoland Speedway (Joliet, IL)

SUMMARY 
The Consumer Marketing Coordinator will work closely with all departments to execute a comprehensive marketing strategy designed to improve fan experience and loyalty and ultimately grow associated revenues and profits.  Closely manages all CRM campaigns and programs including but not limited to Fan Promotions, Fan Communications, FanMax, Social Media Sites, Kids Club program and Omniture.  This position will be responsible for driving retention rates and improving customer satisfaction and loyalty levels for all ticket plan holders, including (but not limited to) season ticket, multi-day race tickets, single tickets, fan hospitality, camping, entertainment, fan experience and other race day activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  1. Represent the department and the facility in the development and execution of on and off site marketing events.  Ensures CLS and Route 66 are represented professionally and maintain integrity of all data and program elements.
  2. For such events, assume responsibility for departmental budgeting, staffing, marketing collateral, data capture, scheduling and financial reporting.
  3. Manages FanMax activity to ensure timely, relevant and accurate fan communications including newsletters, emails, and segmentation and data capture events.
  4. Planning and execution of fan promotions and events which includes communications, supplies, rules and other elements as needed for each program.
  5. Ensure all branding, logos and marketing content are up to standards on advertising sites, partner sites, internal websites, social media channels and communications.
  6. Develops and manages partner and sponsor relationships to leverage opportunities to create an environment of excitement leading up to, pre-race, during race and post-race
  7. Serves as liaison to book and execute entertainment bookings, communications, production and all other necessary elements to enhance the fan experience and drive marketing results on event weekends.
  8. Maintains all advertising buys and manages accounts to create opportunities within the markets.  Assists with marketing, program and media analysis.
  9. All other marketing programs as assigned or needed. 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three to five years of experience in the delivery of event-related services within the motorsports industry.
  • Previous experience in managing and executing campaigns using a data management system preferred.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Flexible and creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to make quick and complex decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team environment interacting with multiple departments.
  • Ability to conceptualize and provide feedback.
  • A positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, integrity, motivation, and a very strong work ethic.
