JOB SUMMARY
The Account Executive is responsible for managing existing Daytona International Speedway accounts as well as actively prospecting new accounts and expanding current business, which includes introducing new partnership opportunities related to the DAYTONA Rising redevelopment project. This sales executive must demonstrate sales experience and contribute to the continuous success of the sales team. The person in this role will cold call, prospect, pitch, negotiatie, close revenue opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Acquire new clients, grow revenue from existing clients and strengthen customer relationships
- Prospect, establish, research, and close corporate partnerships, suites/hospitality and ticket sales through cold-calling, appointments, and networking
- Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly corporate revenue and prospecting goals
- Maintain high level of customer service to existing and new corporate clients
- Attend networking events, dinners and community events
- Work closely with Daytona International Speedway sales team and other International Speedway Corporation sales staff
- Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Sales
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Sales/Marketing/Sports Management
- A passion for sales and customer development
- Detail oriented, with exceptional communication and presentation skills (telephone and in-person) Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of the applicable organizations
- Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Results oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required
- Strong computer skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ACT Database Management
- Must be a team player, self-starter, persistent and professional
