The media-savvy candidate must have experience dealing with high profile local/national media and media personalities including television and radio. Position responsibilities include:
- Plan, develop, and implement communications strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Supervise 12+ event/volunteer staff during two major weekends per year.
- Comfortable with event photography, website, and social media.
- Proven budget, financial forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Book interviews, develop key message points, and prepare athletes, celebrities, and track executives for interviews.
- Write and edit copy for press releases, media advisories, speeches, souvenir programs, feature stories, guest guides, newsletters, marketing materials, and web content.
- Create, manage, and produce large-scale media, community, and fan events. Organize on-site and off-site press conferences and media tours for industry executives and NASCAR/INDYCAR race car drivers.
- Other duties as required
- Must be comfortable in a team setting
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, but not required.
