POSITION TITLE:                   Consumer Marketing Manager

DEPARTMENT:                       Ticket Operations 

REPORTS TO:                        Director of Ticket Sales & Consumer Marketing

                                                 POSITION LOCATION:           Kansas City, KS

                                                 FLSA STATUS:                      Exempt

SUMMARY: 

Directly responsible for overall management and implementation of database and research programs focused on customer acquisition, registration, conversion and retention.  Primary responsibilities will focus on increasing revenue and return on investment as it relates to ticket sales campaigns and promotions through both traditional and digital sales campaigns.  Also responsible for analysis of each campaign and for developing reports that measure ROI against targeted databases.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Work with internal stakeholders providing marketing support to drive business opportunities across sales and ticketing.
  • Develop new avenues for marketing outreach through new media technologies.  Includes, but not limited to social networks, community development, web and mobile.
  • Manage advertising agency relationship with a focus on ROI for all media efforts.
  • Ensure marketing message and branding is consistent across all channels (including direct mail, e-marketing, etc)
  • Responsible for centralizing all customer related data for Kansas Speedway.
  • Manage and maintain profile information for current Kansas Speedway customers.
  • Develop fan experiences and promotional efforts to enhance the relationship with current customers
  • Coordinate internal acquisition of names, demographic and lifestyle information for integration into consumer and sponsor databases.
  • Develop data segmentation and execution plans.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve new customer acquisition through the creation of new ticket promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate customer data interaction with NASCAR and other ISC properties.
  • Work to develop tools to better collect and utilize customer data acquisition and targeting efforts.
  • Lead the marketing efforts to retain first-time customers
  • Manage ticket sales database including:
    • Establish and Improve ROI
    • Lead the development and implementation of a strategy aimed at customer retention and loyalty development
    • Integrate data mining tools to maximize target segmentation, customer retention and lead generation
    • Ensure legal compliance and maintain that the database is being used appropriately
  • Analyze and recommend third party research options that fit the goals of the company and improve customer profiles and targeting.
  • Lead consumer research activities and integrate insight into business value.
  • Maintain detailed performance reports of campaigns including direct/eMktg, advertising, group sales, and ticketing.
  • Identify and continually monitor best practices in database marketing/sales technology.
  • Track customer buying trends to increase efficiencies and generate revenue in all marketing functions.
  • Manage marketing and media budget for specific projects and campaigns.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Ticket Sales & Consumer Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 2-3 years of experience in event or sports marketing management.
  • Project management skills including not limited to organization, scheduling, implementation and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategy, analytics, database structures and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on analysis and reporting.
  • Innovative thinker with high integrity and confidentiality.
  • Self-starter, dependable, strong people skills.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the company, Vision, Mission and Values.
