Coordinating Producer – Motor Racing Network (Concord, NC)

MRN Radio is the largest independent sports radio network in America.  In addition, MRN produces thousands of hours of NASCAR-related programming which can be heard nationwide each week – bringing fans closer to the sport they love.

Description

  • Produce video, animation and digital web projects for Sprint Vision, MRN and ISC clients.
  • Work directly with production management to make assignments, set deadlines, and manage quality control based on client specifications.
  • Serve as an extension of assigned client list to ensure proper execution of their individual production needs.
  • Ensure successful delivery of production elements to scoreboard and screen operators
  • Work on behalf of racetrack representatives to schedule videos, scoreboard elements and PA system content to create a compelling and unified message
  • Communicate, coordinate and distribute all needed production documentation for a successful event weekend.
  • Consistently interacts with MRN Traffic to verify proper commercial placement during assigned event weekends.
  • Support the efforts of field production staff to ensure seamless transition between office and field.
  • Attend pre-event site visits and planning sessions with race track representatives
  • As on-site Live Event Producer, oversee the execution of the Run of Show via video boards, PA system, and other fan touch points to ensure it meets the needs of the tracks, entertains and informs fans, and maximizes production quality
  • Facilitate sharing of production resources across multiple production platforms
  • Participate in follow-up calls and surveys with Sprint Vision Production Coordinator and track representatives to evaluate successes and areas of improvement in production, processes, and execution.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel during the NASCAR race season
  • Experience working closely with clients
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event and or video production
  • Working knowledge of NASCAR
  • Success managing multiple projects
  • Experience managing personnel
  • Aptitude for audio-visual storytelling
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Skill executing projects and making quick decisions based on a “big picture”
  • Video editing experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Broadcast Production preferred
